Domestic carriers are facing unprecedented volumes in their networks as a result of online shopping. These volumes, coupled with increased Covid-19 safety measures have created backlogs across all carrier networks. While carrier posted delays are 2 – 4 days (depending on the carrier), in reality, we have started to see delays that are much longer. This includes all major carriers in the US, Canada and UK (USPS, UPS, Fedex, Canada Post, Canpar, Purolator, Yodel, DHL) We have several reports of carrier yards being full of trailers that have not been processed.
We understand that everyone wants their packages to be delivered in a timely manner, however we ask that you are patient and sign up on the carrier website for updates. We do not have a higher level of visibility than what is posted online. Inquiries to carriers are having limited success…Supervisors who would normally field & escalate issues are also out delivering packages.
